District Vet Eastern Market

A warm, welcoming neighborhood veterinary practice right here on the Hill. When our clients ask us where to take their dog, District Vet is one of the first names we mention.

Howl to the Chief

This independent pet store on 8th Street SE is stocked with genuinely good food and treats, and staffed by people who know Capitol Hill dogs by name. They even do local delivery. Exactly the kind of neighborhood spot we love recommending to dog parents.

Wine and Butter

Near Lincoln Park, this dog-friendly favorite is now home to Le Petit Scoop, their own ice cream shop. The kind of welcoming local spot that makes the Hill feel like the Hill, and once your pup’s been, they’ll really want to go back.

Frager’s Hardware

Washington, DC’s oldest hardware store and a true Capitol Hill institution, open since 1920. You’ll find everything you need for your next home improvement project, and a dog toys and treats section that means your pup is always welcome to come along.
