1. I’m nearly a native Washingtonian! I lived in Washington, DC until I was five. After college I came back to the city and now live a few blocks away from where I grew up!

  2. My two dogs are named after an NBA star, a sweetener, a foreign city and a type of tree,

  3. I am neurodivergent, This can help me better understand animals and their behaviors since I often think like they do.

  4. I’ve been working with dogs since 2007, when I first started volunteering at the Washington Humane Society (WHS, now Humane Rescue Alliance). Since then, I’ve worked at WHS and been a professional pet sitter and dog walker.

  5. I earned my B.S. in Psychology and I’m committed to force-free, science-based positive reinforcement and cooperative care.

  6. I’m Fear Free certified and also certified in Pet CPR and Pet First Aid.

Dogs deserve the best

Saving Fido was founded by Tracy Murray, who has been part of the Capitol Hill community since 2000. She has been owned by four cats and three dogs and worked on behalf of pets for more than 15 years.. She founded Saving Fido with the goal of being the best mid-day dog walking company on the Hill.
